Pastor Van Nunen and his wife Mary were called to our Church in June, 2011.
WILLIAM J. VAN NUNEN, B.A., M.A., Ph.D.
Dr. Van Nunen has some 40 years of Pastoral experience. He has pastored churches in Kentucky, Ohio, and Arkansas. Bro. Van Nunen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Lexington Baptist College with a minor in Ancient Languages (1980) and a Master of Arts degree in Classical Languages (Ancient Greek and Latin) (1993) from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH. He has done extensive doctoral work at the University of Cincinnati, Hebrew Union College, and Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. He received his Ph.D. from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburg, IN in an interdisciplinary field of Greek, Latin, Early Church History, and Philosophy. His college teaching experience includes Temple Baptist College (Greek and Latin), Cincinnati, OH; Somerset Community College (English and Literature); and Northern Kentucky University (History). Bro. Van Nunen teaches Languages and Bible at Leland and serves as the college Dean.
